Hello guys,
I'm really stuck on which screen recorder to use because the ones I've used so far are nothing but crap! It's a disaster that I lost a really good long video tutorial I was recording yesterday whilst producing a work. The softwares either froze or the videos didn't work at all >.> Now I'm stuck on which screen recorder is best or should I use Live Stream instead?

This was the work btw, it was a big shame to lose those recorded videos >.>

i suggest Livestream. it's really good for recording stuff and it continue to record even though you lost connection for a minute. As far as i now the colors are still great and it's in a pretty good quality. not HD but it's clear =]

I used Fraps once, but it made huge files and I had no disk space to record even half of the process.
I'm now using hypercam on a piece I'm making, it takes almost 20 minutes to reach 2 GB, it doesn't record sound but the quality is awesome for the file size (details can be clearly seen, though it's not HD).
Very light, I'm satisfied. With paint tool sai you need at least 3 GB ram to draw and record

I personally use Fraps (recording at half screen because for some reason at full screen they go corrupt half way through) and then edit with camtasia :3 camtasia has great quality and editing tools - but it's a bit of a resource hog when recording... hence why I use fraps for that.

this suggestion is prob ur best bet... camtasia is sweet, never used fraps, but they are right about camtasia being a bit of a hog. if you have a decent machine though you should have no worries
